Activation only takes place after multi-stage alarm verification in order to rule out false triggers.

Anti-squatter protection safeguards your holiday property or second residence against illegal occupation by squatters (Okupas) or tenant squatters (Inquiokupas). In Spain, eviction after an established occupation is legally complex and can take months. Protexium installs a combination of presence simulation, access monitoring and immediate monitoring-centre alerting so that an occupation never takes place in the first place.
Does the alarm system on Tenerife work during power outages?
Yes. All Protexium systems feature battery backup and an independent radio network with dual SIM redundancy across two mobile network providers. This keeps the connection to the monitoring centre alive even during power outages or Wi-Fi disruptions on Tenerife.
Do I need to sign a maintenance contract with Protexium on Tenerife?
No. The hardware is yours with no ongoing instalments. Maintenance contracts and the 24/7 monitoring-centre connection through the Fürst Group are optional and discussed transparently. For holiday properties we particularly recommend the monitoring-centre connection, because you are not on-site yourself when an alarm is triggered.
Are Protexium alarm systems on Tenerife compliant with insurers?
Yes. All systems are certified to EN 50131 (intrusion and hold-up alarm systems). This standard is recognised by German and Spanish insurers alike. Many clients thereby obtain better terms on their buildings and contents insurance, both in the UK/Germany and in Spain.
